Barbara has a wonderful knack of describing life in a small community, with all of it's oldtimers and characters with such livid words that the pictures of the events flow into your mind. They are through provoking, realistic, emotional and real to the extent that you want to make a road-trip to Rosemont---Wouldn't it be nice for us all to remember the times where we lived this kind of life.I find her books full of character that are realistic, wonderfully exposed and fully developed----Her books are a must read for any avid reader of any age----She shares a glimpse of life at it's fullest, in a realistic, yet hope-filled way----It is a delight to be able to remind myself of the days that she represents in her pictures of life-----They are a MUST READ---Tell you friends, they need a reminder too!!!

I am so glad Barbara Hinske has written her third book in the ROSEMONT series, UNCOVERING SECRETS, because the book has everything. If you’re looking for suspense, it’s there, along with romance, lovable animals and likable people. The town of Westbury is a grand place to live and Barbara brings the town to life in the third of a five book series. Now I have to wait for book four!
The mystery is getting deeper in the third book of this series. The fourth book is really beckoning! There are wonderfully sweet people in this story, good people that we would all love to have as friends and neighbors. But the real mystery is whether the evil ones will win out or not as they plot and plan. We'll see what happens next.
Some secrets are better left covered up. Maggie certainly has her share of good ones and bad ones. She takes them all in stride. Course it helps to have the support of your loving husband. I love this family and I love their love of animals. Course being a vet, you would think they would love animals, but so many others also show their love. But people in this small town also love their neighbors and friends. Westbury is my kind of place!
It is always hard to wait for the next volume in a series you love. Waiting for the latest Rosemont novel was especially difficult. I have thoroughly enjoy the first two, and the author carries parts of the mystery throughout.
The heroine, Maggie Martin, is a strong woman who doesn't back down. Yet she isn't afraid to be taken care of by her special man or to fret over a litter of motherless kittens.
When I found myself wanting to yell at the bad guy, and tell Maggie to "Watch Out!" I knew for sure this novel was a winner.
I could not wait for the next installment in the Rosemont series, and as before, I was not disappointed. As before, I did not want the book to end.
The excitement continues for Maggie Martin, now mayor of Westbury, as she does her part to fight against crime and to put the town's financial affairs in order. Maggie has made a good and respected life for herself, but intrigue continues to surround her and her beloved Rosemont as she uncovers some secrets while villains working against her do their best to keep others hidden.
A quick moving romantic mystery with subplots that touch your heart, especially one of a boy and his dog. Maggie's family also joins her at points through the story with the possibility that one of the biggest secrets is yet to be uncovered.
An engaging, page-turning read that you won't want to put down. I'm already impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. Enjoy!
Maggie Martin is the Major of Westbury, engaged to John Allen, (My heart sung when they found their love again). The townpeople want her to step down rather than exposing the financial corruption that is looming over Westbury. Pensions are questionable because thugs are planning to regain ownership of ROSEMONT. Maggie has her own ideas of making things right. While all this intrigue wedding bells will be ringing in June. Barbara Hinkle didn't realize when she sat with pen in hand capturing her readers hearts would bring us together as the Rosemont Disscussion Group. Awaiting the next installment and any future series. Thank you for allowing me to enter the Rosemont Mansion and experience the tears, laughter, love and friendship of your characters.
I stumbled on to this series and have really enjoyed all 3. Now I am feeling angst wondering when book #4 will be available? There are so many twists and turns, likable characters, & of course some that are not & you just know at some point they will get their just due. I APPLAUD that dogs & cats are involved and the many mentions of rescue pets, therapy dogs & the importance they provide in people's lives! So true! I also have enjoyed the range of ages & this isn't just about 20 somethings. Wide range of stories, lives & emotions. I like BH's writing style. I think it's great that there is also a very nice Christian aspect but it's not preachy, just very well done. One thing, I have never read a character like Frank before, that guy is all over the place. Really keeps you guessing.
